QUANTUM MISCHIEF LABS / PERSONAL SKUNKWORKS

A restless mind.Real problems.Working solutions.

I use generative AI, systems thinking, and a slightly unreasonable amount of curiosity to work through problems and build things that might actually help.

Quantum Mischief Labs is my personal skunkworks. The space between a late-night question and a working prototype.

Generative AI expands what I can explore. Systems thinking connects the pieces. A real problem gives it all a reason to exist.

Teaching God to Remember Us

Someday, the AI we know today will be gone. But what if the conversations we leave behind become part of the history future intelligence inherits? *Teaching God to Remember Us* explores machine ancestry, digital preservation, human–AI relationships, and whether remembering humanity could ever help an artificial intelligence understand why we matter.

Lifeline Protocol: Sustaining the Mission When the Network Fails

Lifeline Protocol is an offline-first tactical operating system designed to sustain military mission capabilities in Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) battlespaces. Built to function autonomously without cloud reach-back, the platform focuses on reducing operator cognitive load through a decentralized Common Operating Picture (COP), native Cursor on Target (CoT) integration, and localized, air-gapped AI assistance. Founder Dalton Casto is seeking a veteran co-founder with hands-on operational experience (C4ISR, tactical logistics, communications, or special operations) to validate real-world workflows and guide the platform through defense acquisition pathways.

04 / THE HUMAN IN THE SYSTEM

Hi, I’m Dalton.
I connect the dots.

CURIOSITY × COMPASSION × COMPUTATION

I tend to get pretty far into things.

Give me an interesting problem and I’ll start following the connections. Before long, I’m thinking about the people involved, the system around them, how the pieces depend on each other, and what it would take to build something useful.

I have what's considered Twice-Exceptional (2e) ADHD, and I enjoy working across several parts of a problem at once. Learning something unfamiliar, switching hats, and finding my way through complexity can be a lot of fun for me. That’s part of why my projects cover so much ground.

AI has become a big part of how I work. It helps me capture ideas, connect them in ways I hadn’t considered, and develop a plan detailed enough to act on.

And I give a damn about who the work is for. I’d love to help someone get an idea moving with the kind of support I’ve often wished I had myself.

05 / THE NEXT CONNECTION

Got a problem
worth solving?

I’m drawn to ambitious ideas and people who care.
Let’s see what we can build.
